    What the obstacles demand

Your hands give out before your legs.

We group the 15 obstacles by what they ask of your body. Legs matter, but grip and pulling usually decide the day.

    1. 01

      Climbing and pulling

Pulling strength and a grip that holds on rope and net.

      • Rope Ridge
      • High Rise
      • Height of Hell
      • The Summit
      • Water Vault
      • Slop It

Height of Hell is a 39 ft net climb. The Summit asks for a muscle-up or teamwork.

    2. 02

      Hanging and swinging

Grip endurance and shoulders that stay switched on.

      • Monkey Crawl
      • Skyfall Ladder
      • Hangover

Monkey Crawl is upper body only. Slip into the water on Skyfall Ladder and you are out.

    3. 03

      Crawling, sliding and wading

Trunk stiffness, hips and the patience to stay low.

      • Jail Break
      • Back Stack
      • Commando Crawl
      • Murder by Mud

Low positions held under load, often wet. Crawls are trained, not improvised.

    4. 04

      Water and shock

Calm breathing when the body wants to panic.

      • Hydro Hurdle
      • Brain Freeze

Brain Freeze is ice. Short cold exposure in the weeks before helps more than bravado.

The full course is in our Devils Circuit Hyderabad guide.

    The 12-week plan

    Twelve weeks, four phases.

Monday 19 October to race day is exactly twelve weeks. Each week has a pull and grip day, a legs and carries day, an engine day and an obstacle skills day. On Transform, three of the four are coached.

    1. Weeks 1 to 4

      Base

      19 Oct to 15 Nov

Strict pull-ups or assisted versions, rows, dead hangs, squats and carries, plus easy aerobic work you can talk through.

    2. Weeks 5 to 8

      Specifics

      16 Nov to 13 Dec

Weighted pull-ups, rope and towel hangs, heavier carries and grip work done tired. Yoddha racers taper in week 7.

    3. Weeks 9 to 11

      Sharpen

      14 Dec to 3 Jan

Race-style circuits: a 1 km run, a hang block, a crawl, another 1 km. Short cold exposure for Brain Freeze.

    4. Week 12

      Race week

      4 to 10 Jan

Volume cut by about half, two short sessions, and two days of rest for the grip before a 07:00 start.

Every session, set and checkpoint is in how to train for Devils Circuit in 12 weeks.

    Doing both races

Yoddha first. Five weeks later, Devils Circuit.

The Yoddha Race is on 5 December 2026 and Devils Circuit on 10 January 2027. One base carries you through both: peak for the Yoddha, recover the week after, then sharpen grip and pulling for the obstacles. You do not try to peak twice.

Fisique is an Official Training Partner of The Yoddha Race. For Devils Circuit we are simply the gym that trains you for it.

    FAQ

    Devils Circuit questions, plain answers.

What people ask before they start a race block with us.

Is Fisique a Devils Circuit partner gym?

No. Fisique is not a partner of Devils Circuit. We coach people for the race, one-on-one, at our studio in Kokapet. Registration, categories and venue details are on devilscircuit.com.

When is Devils Circuit in Hyderabad?

Devils Circuit Hyderabad is on 10 January 2027. The course is 5 km with 15 obstacles, and the race starts at 07:00. The venue had not been published when this page was written, so check devilscircuit.com for it.

    Which category should I enter?

Competitive is timed: men clear 15 obstacles in 50 minutes, women 13 in 70 minutes, and Masters 40+ 15 in 60 minutes. Non-Competitive has no clock. If this is your first obstacle race, Non-Competitive lets you learn the course without the pressure of a cut-off.

I cannot do a pull-up. Can I still train for it?

Yes. Most people start with assisted pull-ups and slow lowering, plus hangs to build grip. Twelve weeks is enough to make real progress, and your coach scales every session to where you are.

Can I do the Yoddha Race and Devils Circuit?

Yes. The races are five weeks apart. Your plan peaks for the Yoddha Race on 5 December, uses the week after it for recovery, then sharpens grip and pulling for Devils Circuit on 10 January. You build one base and race twice, without trying to peak twice.
